Wednesday was a big day for Alexander Rybak (30) who celebrated ten years since the breakthrough in NRK “Kjempesjansen” with the show “Entertainer” at Bølgen cultural center in Larvik.
The show was a collection of musical gems, obviously with Rybak’s own oldies spearheaded. It quickly became dramatically during the premiere when lightning struck down the culture center during the show!
– A delightful evening, unfortunately we were sabotaged by a lightning strike and had to use the spare sound and light, told Alexander in his speech after the show.
Had girlfriend in the audience
The singer admitted that he was provisionally suspended by the lightning strike, but as the professional “entertainer” he continued performance.
– It went really into me, and I had not managed so well without my girlfriend Julie , said Rybak who also felt a lot of warmth from the audience.
Nevertheless delivered the seasoned artist a phenomenal stage show with music, song and humor in perfect harmony, and there was probably few in the audience who understood the drama that surrounded them.
Rybak also received good support at the stage of Sofie Bjerketvedt (29) and Heidi Ruud Ellingsen (30). The latter is expecting her first child with actor boyfriend Mads Ousdal (45), but did not let that put an end to an intense stage show with singing, dancing and stepping.
Celebrates anniversary
In the performance “Entertainer” celebrates the 30 year old that it’s been ten years since the breakthrough in NRK “Kjempesjansen.” Three years after he went right to the top in the Eurovision Song Contest with his “Fairytale”.

Alexander has also created music for the Disney film “How to train your dragon 2”, and in 2014 he was involved in “Every time we meet.”
– The biggest moment in my career was when I won the Eurovision with “Fairytale”. I’m still not tired the song. All artists dream of such a song, which is like a business card. It also meant a lot for me to get make a song to the movie “How to train your dragon 2” and giving out my book “Trolle” which I hope may eventually be a musical.
